With the release of STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE #1 drawing closer, I wanted to take a moment and show off some amazing preview pages from each of the 3 stories!
Is Strawberry planning on leaving Berry Bitty City for the exotic Luau Island? Find out in, “The Pineapple Predicament” – written by Georgia Ball (in her comic book debut), illustrated by Tanya Roberts, and colored by Amy Mebberson!
As the holiday season arrives in Berry Bitty City, Orange Blossom anxiously awaits a message from her sister – but what if the message doesn’t arrive in time? Will Orange Blossom’s holiday be ruined? Find out in, “Special Delivery” written by Tim Beedle and illustrated/colored by Amy Mebberson!
And last, but far from least – father/daughter writing team Russell and Meredith Lissau, and illustrator/colorist (again!) Amy Mebberson, tell the tale of what happens when Strawberry comes down with a case of, “The Blue Flu”!

[...] Ape Entertainment announced it would be doing a Strawberry Shortcake comic at NYCC last year, and it looks like the first issues will debut this summer. The team working on the comic includes writers Georgia Ball, former Tokyopop editor Tim Beedle, and Russell and Meredith Lissau, and the artists are Tanya Roberts and Amy Mebberson. Mebberson was last seen illustrating Roger Langridge’s Muppets comics for BOOM! Studios, and it’s nice to see her back at work again. Here’s a sample, and there’s more at Ape’s preview page. [...]
