Pocket God Comics Issue No. 14 Haunts the App Store with “Para-Abnormal Activity”
SAN FRANCISCO – March 14, 2012 – Ape Entertainment and Bolt Creative announced today that Pocket God Comics issue No. 14 is now available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod
touch. In “Para-Abnormal Activity,” the last issue before a new story arc begins, the two-tribes crash into a mysterious island while trying to get home from their previous adventure.
Straight from the spooky aisles of ghostliness and with the girls unable to regenerate, this may not be the best time to hang out on a haunted island. Yep… ghosts, a mystery, and a dubious murder make this an ooky-spooky, extra-kooky issue of Pocket God. Continue reading
A “Berry” sweet Book Signing!
Hey Gang, we have something cool to show you guys today! On Saturday March 10, 2012 one of Ape’s youngest writers had her first store signing and from what we heard it was “Berry” successful for everyone! Nine-year-old comic book writer Meredith Lissau along with her co-writer father Russell Lissau had amazing eventy sign copies of her new story in Ape Entertainment’s Strawberry Shortcake Digest #1 at Dreamland Comics in Libertyville, Illinois.
We here at Ape are so proud to have Meredith onboard and helping bring the adventures of Strawberry Shortcake to life. Please be sure to swing by the Dreamland Comic’s website at Dreamland-comics.com and check out this amazing store. Thank you to all the fine folks at Dreamland for hosting Meredith’s first in-store signing.
Richie Rich (Digital) Classics #07 is available!
RICHIE RICH CLASSICS #7 is now available on the iPhone, iPod-Touch, & iPad!

This issue sports a cover that was digitally recolored by JAMES NELMS. Nelms also designed and supplied the cover art for the CUT THE ROPE digital comic book.
The cover for Classics #7 was originally the cover for Richie Rich Success Stories #3, pictured to the left. We take great care when we digitally recolor these classic works to represent the feeling and the charm of the original work, but at the same time change it up a bit and give long time collectors a new look at an old favorite.
The rest of the issue is a 28 page collection of classic Richie Rich comics and gags.
The lead story, “Like a Pussycat” has been digitally recolored by LISA MOORE. Moore has previously done color work in the ‘all-new, all-different’ RICHIE RICH: RICH RESCUE series.
The remaining 23 pages are all carefully reproduced in black & white. Of particular note this issue is the entire 15-page story “The Mad Mad Big Big Race”, written by Ralph Newman with art by Warren Kremer and letters by Joe Rosen. It’s easy to see this story may have been partially inspired by the 1963 movie “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World”, which included a long and very chaotic cross country race.

You can download the Richie Rich App from the iTunes Store, the App itself is FREE! The comic books are sold individually, however there are several ‘Free Preview’ issues you can download for free, click the icon below to go to the App page on Apple iTunes!
