Having grown up reading and collecting Richie Rich, I cannot tell you how excited and pleased I am to see Richie back in print. I want to be able to get at least three copies of each of his new issues that will be published. Can I subscribe directly to Ape Entertainment? Or am I required to subscribe through a comic book shop? Thanks for making my dreams come true! Just for the record I am 52 years old and still very young at heart. I most certainly wish you all great success on the relaunch of Richie Rich and I am most happy to begin collecting again! Sincerely, Tim Finney

I grew up my childhood and teenage years reading Richie Rich comics, but a few years since the second run ended in 1994, I was slowly growing out of such comics, and now I seem to have less interest in such comics. Even more so because the mighty computer has taken over my life now. I also learned that spanking is a controversial issue in many states, and I think stories with Reggie or other characters being spanked would be deemed inappropriate to today’s viewing audience. Comics with such spanking scenes were deemed acceptable in the 1980s or even 1990s, but now you have to be old enough to read Playboy to view such stories. But still, those comics, regardless of the content, were so fun and entertaining for my generation. Such a shame that politically incorrect material is taking the fun away from today’s comics.

  • Glenn Misztal says:

I’m a 37 year old father of two from Australia that is VERY HAPPY that Richie Rich is back not only as Classic Gems, but a revamp as well. I buy Ape Entertainment’s RR (and Casper) comics and then pass them onto my kids.
I need help identifying a classic RR story that I used to own in a comic as a kid.
My memory is foggy, but I’d love to read this story again. Here is what I remember :
Richie is leaving his house and Richie’s father asks him if he needs money for gifts for Gloria. Richie says he has enough money and goes to buy her some perfume.
He trips and breaks the perfume bottle on the way and then buys her some expensive chocolates which fall in the mud.
Richie runs out of money and ends up giving Gloria cheap dime store candy bar and some flowers picked from a garden.
    That’s all I remember.

If anyone can tell me the name of the story and the issue it is in, I would really appreciate it and would be eternally grateful.
Oh and Ape Entertainment, if you can get Baby Huey back in comic again (revamp or classic), that would be great.
